Hong Kong Disneyland reopened today for the third (and hopefully final) time after a 79-day closure, and the park had an extra-special surprise: a brand-new costume for Toy Story‘s Woody! The new look is Woody’s first overhaul since his mid-90s debut at the Disney Parks.
Visitors to Toy Story Land in Hong Kong Disneyland today were able to meet Woody in his brand-new look, featuring a new head much closer to his animated counterpart, pants featuring a seam at the knee, and thinner, more accurate boots. The new look is much more defined than the original Woody character, in use since Toy Story characters first came to the parks in the mid-’90s.
For reference, this is how Woody appears at the rest of the Disney Parks for now. The new outfit will surely make its way to the other Disney resorts worldwide in due time, so keep your eyes peeled the next time you see Woody and the other Toy Story friends out and about! No word if similar changes have come to Buzz Lightyear or Jessie, who also haven’t seen costume overhauls since their introductions.

Giving Jessie a neck should be a top
Priority. That costume is terrifying.
OH MY GOD. They are finally fixing the worst character outfit at Disney. Current Woody (and Jessie) is just completely wrong.
Now if they could please please update Jessie
Took them long enough to fix this. The Toy Story characters have had some of the oddest looking costumes. Buzz in particular.
This is long overdue! He looks so much better, more like the actual cartoon, less like Jake Gyllenhaal!
