For the past couple of days, artists at Walt Disney World have been working on a 40-ton sand sculpture celebrating Raya and the Last Dragon, which is coming to theaters and Disney+ March 5. The sand sculpture, located on the Discovery Island Stage in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, is now complete.
Several characters from the movie, including the titular Raya and Sisu the last dragon, have come to life in this intricate sculpture.
Sisu peeks over the movie’s title.
The Ongis and Tuk Tuk are on one side of the sculpture, next to a miniature village.
The detail includes the fur of the half-monkey Ongis and the texture of Tuk Tuk’s shell.
Raya gives an intense look on the other side of the sculpture.
Raya and the Last Dragon merchandise will be available at Rafiki’s Planet Watch and guests can learn how to draw Tuk Tuk at The Animation Experience.
