Cinderella Castle continues to get dressed up in the Magic Kingdom’s finest for “The World’s Most Magical Celebration.” The castle, along with the Magic Kingdom and Walt Disney World Resort, celebrates its 50th anniversary this October. While the 25th anniversary castle was fun, the stunning gold and royal blue are much more befitting this grand celebration.
On the front right turret, a new piece of large bunting has been installed. These larger buntings have three sections of faux-drapery.
The craftsmanship is spectacular close up.
The bunting captures the flow of real draped fabric with gentle spiral folds.
Even closer, we can get a better look at the delicate golden swirls that embellish the blue.
Each draped section is topped with a shining blue gem set in gold.
From a distance, the pleats look naturally draped. As you get closer, you can see the solid form.
The deep blue gems have an almost pearly sheen in the sunlight.
