The six story tall centerpiece for Harmonious recently found its home on the World Showcase Lagoon at EPCOT. Earlier today, we spotted some fountain testing on the barges taking place and now it appears workers are testing one of the arms on the platforms.

The arm can be seen in the raised position and lots of workers are present on the surrounding barges.

When complete, the ring will support a high-density water curtain, moving lights, and fountains.

During the day, the structure will be used as a water feature to mask the metal behemoth from Guests.

Shortly after the first arm was raised, the second arm on the side facing the American Adventure Pavilion was also raised.

The arms are nearly as tall as the centerpiece ring, and they are nearly long enough to meet in the middle and make a second rounded structure.

These arms will also feature a variety of lighting effects when the show is introduced.

Check out our video below for the arm movement in action:

A debut date for Harmonious has not been announced yet, but it is expected to start sometime later this year.

  1. It’s kind of cool. Don’t see the point and I’m never going to spend another dollar on anything disney again. Not one cent.

  2. Based on the published park hours, all parks will be closed before it gets dark. Clearly, there will be not night time fire works or shows because the parks will be closed.
