A Harmonious barge was testing its fountains today at EPCOT. The barges will have water and lighting effects that will help comprise the brand new show set to debut sometime this year.
We spotted the fountains testing recently late at night and early in the morning, but this is our first up-close look at the water features.
Water sprays vertically and off of several sides of the barge. The barges have a movable arm that will also act as an articulated water feature.
In what should have seemed like common sense, the fountains do little to mask the barges during the day, yet that is the plan still.
The water features will be used during the show, but also as a means to help “hide” the barges during the day.
Stay tuned here at WDWNT for more updates on this brand new show.
This is it. We’ve reached PEAK “Imagineering does not give a —-“. The fountains somehow make everything look worse.
This isn’t on Imagineering. It’s on Creative Entertainment. They are two separate entities and trust me when I say Imagineering hates how CE ruins their immersion.
Even with the fountains running (when they work), it’s not going to replace the beautiful views of World Showcase Lagoon.
Looks like a giant whale emerging from the ocean
🤔 I don’t have high hopes.
Of course the castle looks horrendous compared to the concept art so I don’t have much faith in them anyway.
Thar she blows!
Pretty underwhelming. Let’s hope there’s more to it than this, otherwise, this is just one big, nasty and unnecessary change!
Mist doesn’t do much to hide the death taco.
Shiver me timbers!
Lol get rid of the backwards fountain at Epcot literally the coolest most Epic fountain I’ve ever seen outside of France and install this Frankenstein’s monster… Wow. With that being said I’m still going to the parks … It doesn’t change my love for DW as DW is always always always changing anyway by the time this is gone well probably miss this eye sore….I’m quite sure.
Maybe they can play a video of a fountain on the giant screens to trick themselves into thinking that they actually delivered on something they designed.
EPIC FAIL !
