Disney’s Blizzard Beach has reopened today after a long closure. We headed over to Lottawatta Lodge to try out the new menu but spotted something else that’s new: a covered seating area.

When we previously ate at Lottawatta Lodge, the outdoor eating area was just picnic tables in the sun. Now, there is a nice gazebo themed to the water park covering most of the tables. If you prefer to dine in the sun, there are still many uncovered tables to sit at.

Of course, during these pandemic times, there are signs reminding guests to maintain physical distancing.

These picnic tables are spread out pretty well as are the trash cans, further encouraging physical distancing.

The covered area features fans to help guests cool down as they enjoy their food in the shade.
