Send in the clowns! Painting has begun at Casey Jr.’s Splash ‘N’ Soak Station at the Magic Kingdom as the park continues to prepare for its 50th birthday.
The bold colors of the repainted clown car on the left contrast with the worn cars on the right.
The front of the world famous clowns’ car has been touched up with a fresh layer of paint.
Refurbishment is going slowly. So far, only one side of the world-famous clowns’ car has been painted, but it looks fantastic.
It’s great to see the vibrant colors. They won’t last long in the Florida sun, but the refresh will keep Storybook Circus looking bright.
The signage and the wheels were refreshed as well.
A close-up shows the careful painting done to the clowns.
While the painting is sometimes airbrushed, there are visible brushstrokes that indicate this paint was done by hand.
We suspect the painting will continue daily until the entire area is looking fresh for “The World’s Most Magical Celebration”.
Stay tuned to WDWNT for regular updates on this project.
The center character on that wagon looks somewhat like the great Disney animator Ward Kimball. I wonder if that was intended, perhaps as a tribute to him.
