EPCOT is undergoing a massive reimagining. The park recently debuted a new fountain, new nighttime entrance lighting, and debuting sometime this year is a brand new fireworks show. Harmonious will be a new nighttime spectacular described by imagineers as “unlike anything we have achieved before.”
The show includes a six story tall centerpiece that acts as a high density water curtain with moving lights during the show, and will remain an active fountain during the day for guests to enjoy. The centerpiece ring was moved into World Showcase Lagoon recently, and the water feature was testing early this morning.
Twitter use @BrookeGMcDonald spotted some fountain testing on the barges, a feature that will be used to try to hide the structures during the day, and will be part of the show at night. You can see the fountain testing in the videos below:
In the second video, the spray of the fountain has changed direction. We expect this water feature to have lots of different effects, such as lights and a wide range of motion. Some of the barges even have movable arms.
The fountain seems to match the grand appearance of the center Harmonious ring, as it can be seen high above the tree line from Disney’s Boardwalk.

this is almost surreal at this point, because now seeing just how large this water feature will be brings me back to that ORIGINAL, abstract concept art that they revealed at D23, with some vague large feature surrounded by water on the lake itself. amazing how its come full circle like this.
Maybe if we spray enough water at these stupid things, it will make them look invisible
