Easter celebrations appear to be in full swing at the Walt Disney World Resort. A few days ago, we tried the holiday offerings at Disney’s Beach Club Resort which include an Easter Bunny Cheesecake and a Carrot Cupcake. Today, we are giving the new Easter Cake at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa a taste!

Lemon Sponge Cake with Strawberry Buttercream and Easter Themed Chocolate Decor

The first thing we noticed was the strong smell of lemon. Despite being a lemon sponge cake, the lemon scent is stronger than the lemon flavor. The cake itself is very moist and fresh.

The gorgeously colorful presentation is complete with pastel pink, yellow and blue layers. The cake is topped with a chocolate Easter egg and a baby chick chocolate adornment.

The strawberry mousse has a bit more of a thick frosting texture than that of a mousse, but the fresh strawberry taste still shines through!

The dessert is quite heavy on the icing. We would have liked to enjoy the strawberry and lemon flavors a bit more without being overpowered by it.

Overall this is a super pretty and a super tasty dessert that we would definitely recommend!
