Today marks the premiere of “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier”, Marvel’s newest Disney+ original series. Don’t worry, this post won’t contain spoilers, but it will contain cake! Specifically, the new cake inspired by “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” now available at Amorette’s Patisserie in Disney Springs.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier Petit Cake – $20
Chocolate chiffon cake, dark chocolate mousse, raspberry pate de fruit, raspberry mousse, white chocolate crisp pearls
This is a delicious little cake without being overpowering. The chocolate cake is moist and fresh.
The raspberry filling was tart and sweet. It had a consistency somewhere between gummy and jello, and was really yummy.
The pearls were still crispy in the mousse layer, which was creamy and sweetly raspberry-flavored.
The fondant was actually sweet and a pleasure to eat. We ended up peeling the top decoration off in order to eat it a little easier as the printed fondant was difficult to pierce with a fork without crushing the cake.
Overall, this was a tasty fruit and chocolate combination which we would get again.
