Prior to the closing of Disneyland Resort in mid-March 2020, Disney had announced that MARVEL Avengers Campus would open July 18, 2020. As the opening of the theme parks continued to be delayed, it became clear MARVEL Avengers Campus would not be opening that summer. It was finally announced that Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure would reopen on April 30, 2021, but that MARVEL Avengers Campus would not open until later in the year.

MARVEL Avengers Campus will encompass the pre-existing Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission Breakout!, plus add the new attraction Web Slingers: A Spider-Man Adventure. Click here to read more details about the land’s storyline.

This will be the first Avengers Campus at a Disney theme park, with a second under construction at Walt Disney Studios Paris.

  1. Doesn’t Marvel Avengers turn Disney into Universal? I’ve never been to Universal because it isn’t Disney. But now that Disney bought all this stuff, I am supposed to accept everything such as Spiderman as Disney. Eventually, Disney will buy everything so that stuff like SpongeBob or Legos or even Rick and Morty will become Disney.

  2. Universal isn’t superhero, it’s The Simpsons, Despicable Me, Harry Potter, Jurassic Park, and old Hollywood (the backlot tour, etc.). During Halloween, it’s Horror Nights. I like going there for the Harry Potter stuff and the tour, it’s just a very different vibe than Disney. I don’t see Avengers Land being any different than other themed lands like Cars Land or A Bug’s Life. Disney always does a great job.
