Orange County Department of Health official Dr. Raul Pino has stated that temperature checks are not necessary, Lauren Seabrook with WFTV reports.
The Department of Health is not recommending temperature checks as they waste resources on something that doesn’t necessarily prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Temperature checks have been required to enter Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando Resort, and many other businesses in the county in the past year. However, someone carrying COVID-19 will not always have a fever, and those who are found to have a fever will not always have COVID-19 (they might just be hot from the Florida sun).
This week, Orange County announced how it would phase out physical distancing and mask mandates. It began with the immediate change from six feet to three feet physical distancing and further changes will depend on vaccination rates.
As of now, both Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando Resort still require temperature checks and six feet of physical distancing. Keep checking WDWNT for updates.

They already saying distancing doesnt matter either And I’m sure in another 6months or year they will say masks dont help either. I will just say this as a human being Covid or not I don’t want people standing right on top of me or coughing and sneezing in my direction has nothing to do with the government. Has more to do with my right to have personal space.
Even Fauci said that temperature checks weren’t a reliable indicator of infection — at least for COVID.
