While it’s impossible to know just how much construction has progressed on the interior of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in EPCOT, work on the building’s exterior has been coming together, slowly but surely.
The building that once served as the entrance to the Universe of Energy has now been redone for the new attraction. Protective blue sheathing covers the entire roof and façade of the building.
Now that this blue sheathing is completed, it’s only a matter of time before the final exterior paneling is added.
The square holes in the slanted roof are presumably for recessed lighting to be installed later.
The yellow railing is temporary for the safety of construction workers.
Over the construction walls, we can see that the current landscaping leaves something to be desired. We’re sure this will all be refreshed before the attraction opens.

Though an opening date has not been announced and the project has been delayed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is expected to open in 2022.
