PHOTOS: More Blue Sheathing Added to Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT as Construction Continues

After seemingly having paused for the entire week, exterior work has picked back up today at Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT. Additional blue plastic sheathing has been added to the entrance façade, which serves as a barrier against the harsh Central Florida weather.

Sheathing has now been applied along the entire length of the roof’s underside. The left side is now complete, after having been left exposed since the plywood panels were installed last week.

The right side of the façade received a similar blue layer about a week ago, but some of the sheathing came loose during the windy weekend.

The blue sheathing is cut and installed to follow the building’s unique contours. While it is easy to see the work progressing on the outside, it has been some time since we have seen work happening inside.

When finished, guests will enter the attraction through the Galaxarium, a planetarium-like exhibition that explores the similarities and mysteries of the formation of Earth’s galaxy and Xandar.
