Welcome to another beautiful day at the Universal Orlando Resort. We’re ready to take on a full day in the parks, but first, we need a little caffeine to get us going.

Heading in from the parking garage, we stopped at Fresh Eats for one of their new cold brews. We fell in love with the Unicorn Cold Brew recently, so today we decided to try the Chocolate Peanut Butter Cold Brew. This was a sweet way to start the day, especially with the warm weather.

As we made our way over to Islands of Adventure, we spotted the new Universal Legacy Store sign had been installed. They sure work fast around here! We were hanging out at CityWalk until after midnight the night before and we were very surprised to spot how much had been done overnight!

The new Universal Studios Store is coming along nicely, too.

Our first stop of the day was to Islands of Adventure. Once we made our way through Port of Entry, the bright colors of the freshly painted Jurassic Park sign on the Discovery Center caught our attention. Universal has been working so hard to refresh Jurassic Park before the opening of Jurassic World VelociCoaster and we truly appreciate every little detail. Take a closer look at some of the updates here.

It was a pretty busy morning at Islands of Adventure, especially around the water rides. The temperatures have gone up a lot from the past weekend.

The walkway was closed between parks, so we walked through CityWalk to Universal Studios Florida.

Wait times around the park weren’t too bad. Many attractions are loading every row on their ride vehicles, so that seems to have helped a lot with capacity.

Just a quick stop in Springfield for a Krusty Burger. It wasn’t the greatest Krusty Burger we’ve ever had, but it got the job done. And there was no wait to get inside, so we were thankful to have a little break in the air conditioning.

These petit cakes in the TODAY Cafe look like a good afternoon snack. There’s a blackberry lemon petit cake and a matcha coconut petit cake.

The end of Mardi Gras is near, so the merchandise is starting to go on sale. Inside the Tribute Store, we spotted the purple Mardi Gras shirt on sale for $13.99 now and the Mardi Gras face masks are buy one, get one free.

It’s a beautiful afternoon, but the crowds aren’t too bad at Universal Studios, even in Diagon Alley.

That’s all for this visit to the Universal Orlando Resort. Thanks for joining us around the parks today and be sure to stay tuned for even more updates!
