The adage “Any press is good press” is not so true in the age of social media, and Disney seems to agree. We recently reported that more construction walls had gone up in the Morocco Pavilion at EPCOT, blocking the back half of the area near Restaurant Marrakesh. Today, we have a better look at the scaffolding around a chimney that served as a popular photo spot for many fans.

The covered scaffolding is taller now, making it much easier to see over the top of the construction wall.

Much of the Morocco Pavilion is currently under refurbishment.

No other changes are visible from the back of the construction walls.

Though no official word about the construction has been given, we suspect Disney is taking proactive measures. This suggestively shaped chimney has gotten a lot of attention lately on social media as guests are drawn to its “unique” shape for photos.

Stay tuned to WDWNT as we bring you updates on the Morocco Pavilion construction.

  1. Gosh, I thought you mis-typed “suggestive” instead of “suggested” but then I read the article and realized that people can be so immature and juvenile, geez. As a married adult, I’ll be the first to admit there is a time and a place for a little debauchery and juvenile fun, but I kind of keep WDW as a special place for the kid in me, reserved for wholesome, family memories!

  2. seems people need to find better things to think or worry about. absurdity has taken over the hysterical world of social media. you have to think really in dark recesses of your brain to have to “go there” as if it’s “suggestive” come on get out of 7th grade and grow up!

  3. If every idiot who took a hilarious picture in front of it didn’t splash it all over social media they might not feel the need to change it. It was constant in Disney groups on facebook and just plain obnoxious. I won’t miss all those stupid pictures.

  4. Really?! People are going crazy over a piece of rock work that has been there since the Morocco Pavilion has been open!! Get a grip people!!

  5. Looks like a great spot for a photo pass magic photo!!! Silly to change it nothing wrong with some humor. People need to relax

  6. Eye Roll… Please don’t look at the possibly suggestive body part. Instead please enjoy the other attractions that feature explosions and guns being fired at others.
