Disneyland Paris first opened on April 12, 1992, and though it is currently closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it is still “celebrating 29 years of dreams” with a new video special. In addition to a walk through history with Walt Disney Imagineers, the special includes a sneak peek of Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel.

Walt Disney Imagineering Paris Scene Designer, Thomas Muller, takes us through the hotel, which is inspired by New York, home of Marvel superheroes. The hotel will host one of the largest exhibitions of Marvel art, with over 350 pieces by 110 different Marvel artists, including 50 never-before-seen pieces designed for the hotel.

In the hotel’s lobby, Muller explains how everything from the walls to the lighting was designed to reflect the art of Marvel.

Even the queue stanchions feature the Avengers logo.

The hotel’s General Manager, Pilar Hamil, then shares a first look at the costumes Cast Members will be wearing at the hotel.

This included a look at the new nametag designed for Cast Members at the hotel, which is a sleek black and silver with the New York City skyline across the bottom and the Avengers logo at the top.

The drink looks delicious and we can’t wait to get inside Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel. There is no current opening date, but according to Hamil, they are putting finishing touches on the hotel now.
