Disneyland Paris to Remain Closed as Paris Enters Four-Week Shutdown During COVID-19 Surge

A third COVID-19 wave is shutting down Paris for one month. In addition to the Paris region, 15 other regions will begin a shutdown at midnight Friday. According to a BBC News report, France recorded over 35,000 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours.

The news from Paris is especially grim. Over 1,200 Parisians are in intensive care, more than during the November wave peak.

Disneyland Paris had previously announced an April 2 reopening date. That reopening was delayed on March 12. A new reopening date had not been announced.
