As we learned a week ago, American Idol is returning to Walt Disney World for “Disney Night” wherein contestants perform different classic Disney songs. We saw the show filming in Magic Kingdom earlier this week and now ABC has released the first promo for the episode, which will air on Sunday, May 2nd.

This season’s top nine contestants have traveled to Walt Disney World for the annual special. The Comeback contestant will be announced and join the top nine performing Disney songs. Finalists will be narrowed down to the top seven at the end of the episode. The episode will air at 8:00 PM EDT on ABC.

American Idol and Walt Disney World have a storied history. The 2017 season kicked off auditions at Disney Springs. Disney’s Hollywood Studios also used to host The American Idol Experience, where guests could compete to win a front-of-the-line ticket to a real American Idol audition. The attraction opened in 2009 and closed permanently in 2015.
