Greetings, World Travelers, from another beautiful day at EPCOT! We had a quiet day here, but we didn’t mind as it gave us plenty of time to check up on all of the construction projects going on here. Let’s get started!
On our way into the park, we drove under the welcome arch on EPCOT Center Drive and found it to be visually completed. From what we can tell, the repainting is finished, and final checks are being made before the road block is cleared away.
At the entrance to the park, long-standing construction walls have come down around the grass area between the parking lot and the Security Screening area.
Inside the park at the former Innoventions East building, construction is moving along quickly, with the framing for two of these dome structures recently completed near the end of the building closest to Guest Relations.
On World Showcase Lagoon, two additional barges have appeared, sitting to the East and West of the ring barge.
The Rally of the Gazelles simulation has been uncovered in the Morocco Pavilion, although it is still roped off and unavailable to guests.
The original Gelati Kiosk has been removed from the Italy Pavilion now that Gelateria Toscana has opened. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
The ribbon hat dancer is still missing from the party scene on Gran Fiesta Tour in the Mexico Pavilion, as are the Three Caballeros animatronics from the final scene.
We spotted some very cute guests sampling the food from The Honey Bee-stro today. These ducklings and their mom passed through, nibbling on bits of food on the ground to the delight of surrounding guests.
We found a few pieces of merchandise to share with you, starting with these two “101 Dalmatians” open edition pins. Both were available at Pin Traders, with the puppy retailing for $9.99, and Pongo and Perdita retailing for $12.99.
We also found this sweatshirt featuring Mickey and star silhouettes, which is a part of the upcoming Americana collection for July 4. This sweatshirt is available at Port of Entry for $44.99.
We had a wonderful day at EPCOT, and we hope you enjoyed coming along with us. Have a magical day!
Thanks for the report, like these little updates.
What a great post and update, particularly for me since I spent the first two years of my professional life working at Epcot when it first opened!
Nice to see the spirit alive and well!
Thank you Noelle, and congratulation Epcot!
