Earlier this month, we reported that the Hogwarts Express at Universal Orlando Resort was beginning to seat multiple parties together. This practice has continued, with compartments now being loaded to capacity, and distancing has been reduced in the attraction’s queue.

We entered King’s Cross station at Universal Studios Florida for our train ride.

Distancing markers in the queue have been adjusted from six feet to three feet apart.

We didn’t see much distancing at all in line.

The Hogwarts Express queue goes up a flight of stairs, but an elevator is available for those who need it.

Vaccinated guests are no longer required to wear face masks anywhere at Universal Orlando Resort, including in queues and on attractions.

While we, as a party of one, were previously sat with a party of two, the compartments are now being filled to the capacity of about eight adults.

We were placed with a party of three and a party of four, for a total of eight guests in one compartment.

The compartments have no space for physical distancing, especially when filled to capacity. The guests with us did not wear masks.

When we exited the Hogwarts Express, we saw the same number of guests being loaded at the Hogsmeade station.

Filling the train to capacity does cut down the wait time, which is especially nice when using the Hogwarts Express as transportation between the two parks. It was only a fifteen-minute wait at the King’s Cross station.
