PHOTOS: Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor Attraction Sign Uncovered at Magic Kingdom

Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor has been closed for over a year at Magic Kingdom due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the entire cast and crew were laid off in October. During its closure, the attraction’s waiting area has been used as overflow for the Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin queue. The main sign outside of the show has remained visible, but the billboard-like sign near the entrance doors was covered.

As of today, the sign can be seen again.

The sign features Mike Wazowski and the phrase “the future of energy is a joke.”

It was previously covered in white, as can be partially seen in our photo report from March 12.

This may indicate Disney plans to reopen the show soon. Though Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor has no live performers on stage, guests are seated stationary next to each other for the duration of the show, so space would be needed between parties. Like with “A Celebration of Festival of the Lion King”, Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor may also reopen with a modified—possibly shorter—version of the show.
