Since Walt Disney World reopened last summer, EPCOT Monorail line has not been running. The EPCOT Monorail station has been blocked off during this time, but signage remained. Now, the main signage over the entrance has been removed.
The station is accessible by a ramp outside of EPCOT’s entrance.
Signage has been removed from the overhang above the ramp’s entrance. The signage is being replaced, as most signage near the park’s entrance is being updated with the new style and font for the “reimagined” EPCOT.
That being said, there has been no announcement of a return for the EPCOT Monorail line just yet.
A sign for the Monorail still stands next to the ticket booth near the station.
The sign on the right still advertises Monorail service to the Transportation and Ticket Center.
The Resort and Express Monorail lines continue to run near Magic Kingdom, although they were briefly down this weekend due to an accident.
Keep checking WDWNT for updates.
I really hope Disney brings back the Epcot Monorail soon. It’s one of my very favorite things in all of Walt Disney World.
I can’t imagine Disney would be stupid enough to stop using it permanently???
The blowback from a decision like that would be off-the-charts.
It’ll be back. They only suspended it due to concerns about distancing and overcrowding at TTC. (and probably to save some money since capacity was down, too, and there wasn’t park hopping last year after reopening)
Probably after capacity increases.
For several months you can only go to the park for which you have a reservation. Staffing and running a monorail was probably cost prohibative. Also a good opportunity to refurbish befpre the 50th anniversary crowds.
It will be open after the EPCOT construction is close to completion.
2027
Hopefully they call my boarding group by then
It’ll be open well before then. My guess is it’s back by July.
It was still shut down this weekend.
