PHOTOS: “Thirst Rangers” Lettering Returns to Coca-Cola Cool Ship at Magic Kingdom

Cool Ship and the connected Cool Scanner at Magic Kingdom underwent refurbishment this year, and was seemingly completed two weeks ago. Now, final touches have been added, bringing the Tomorrowland kiosk back to its former glory.

A week ago, we noticed the lettering on the side of the kiosk reading “Delivering refreshment to a thirsty galaxy” had returned.

The edge of the kiosk used to be white with dark lettering. It’s now blue with white lettering.

As of today, “thirst rangers” has been repainted on the ship above Cool Scanner.

Seven bottle silhouettes precede “thirst rangers.”

The lettering is painted on both sides of the ship, which is purported to be a repurposed prop from Disney’s 1986 Flight of the Navigator.

This is just one of many refurbishment projects that we’ve been tracking at Walt Disney World ahead of its 50th anniversary. Elsewhere in Tomorrowland, pavement is being replaced.
