PHOTOS: New Signs Remind Guests Masks Are Still Required on Attractions at Walt Disney World

Since Walt Disney World stopped requiring masks in outdoor settings, there has been some confusion from guests about where masks are required. A new sign outside the Carousel of Progress in Magic Kingdom is reminding guests to keep their masks on upon entering the attraction’s queue.

The sign is at the bottom of the entrance ramp and says “Masks on” as well as “No food or drink beyond this point.”

Though many attraction queues are partially outdoors, guests are still supposed to wear masks when waiting in line, since they are close to other guests for a longer period of time. Face masks are required in all indoor settings at Walt Disney World except when eating or drinking while stationary and maintaining an appropriate physical distance. Physical distancing is also being reduced but seems to still be six feet at all indoor locations.

For now, we have only seen this sign at Carousel of Progress, but we expect more might pop up throughout the parks. Keep checking WDWNT for updates.

  1. Honestly they need to do away with the masks totally! I will not b back til they do and they need to bring fp b. This would help social distancing also . I care more about social distancing then masks personally

  2. With Universal going back to normal (maskless), I hope it will be very soon that Walt Disney World will follow! I’m waiting with great eagerness to see what the Walt Disney Company decides because my family and I will arrive at Walt Disney World on this Sunday!! We were glad when they lifted the mandate to picture taking back during our April visit…..here we are now in June…..we shall see! We found that at least in April, most folks were respectful to keep their distance, etc.
