Soon after Orange County, Florida lifted its outdoor mask mandate, Universal Orlando Resort quickly followed suit. We visited both Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure to see how things have changed.
Stickers have been added to signs to indicate the updated mask policy.
A new safety announcement is also being played.

Universal Studios Florida
Guests arriving early were mostly masked. Health and safety signs have been updated inside the park.
While the updated mask policies allow guests to remove masks outdoors, they must still be worn on attractions.
Both masked and maskless guests navigate the walkway.
Inside, we saw full mask compliance.
In tightly spaced queues, all guests are masked.
Team Members remain masked in outdoor spaces.
In Diagon Alley, more guests were unmasked. Some still kept face coverings on.
Guests riding Kang & Kodos’ Twirl ‘n’ Hurl are masked. Guests must wear face masks on all attractions, even those that are outside.
Universal’s Islands of Adventure
A Team Member near the park entrance uses a portable public address speaker to remind guests of the face mask policy.
The streets of Hogsmeade are full of mostly maskless guests.
Some guests have opted to keep face coverings on while outdoors. Most are not wearing masks.
Physical distancing can be difficult at some “pinch points.”
A mix of masked and unmasked guests strolls towards Jurassic World Velocicoaster.
Team Members are available throughout the park to answer guest questions.
In the Jurassic Park area, guests have a bit more room for physical distancing.
