Jurassic World VelociCoaster at Universal’s Islands of Adventure soft opened to the public today, after several days of Team Member and Passholder previews. We previously took you on a tour of the highly themed standby queue, but today we headed through the single rider entrance.

Despite the sign saying “closed”, the single rider queue was open during today’s technical rehearsal.

The single rider queue takes guests up to the velociraptor statue, then veers off to the right.

Single riders have access to their own locker room.

Unfortunately, single riders then skip most of the themed queue, including the windows showing the coaster’s launch and the grooming stations where guests see angry raptors in muzzles.

After the lockers, single riders are directed through a metal detector (no recording devices are currently allowed), then to the preshow area and straight onto the ride. It was a much shorter wait, but lacking all of the exciting elements of the main queue.
