REVIEW: Pineapple Maple “Fossilized Amber” Gummy From Jurassic World Tribute Store in Universal Studios Florida

The Jurassic World Tribute Store opened in Universal Studios Florida yesterday and we’re making our way through the creative new treats available inside. We already hatched a chocolate egg and tried a pistachio puff, now we’re taking a bite of “fossilized amber.”

These gummies are inspired by the fossilized amber seen in the first Jurassic Park film.

John Hammond’s scientists used the mosquito to create dinosaur DNA.

We were surprised by how much we liked this treat!

It’s not particularly sugary or sweet. The flavor is light. It’s pineapple maple, but the maple wasn’t detectable and the pineapple wasn’t overpowering. It made for a nice, citrusy taste.

The consistency is firm but it’s more jello-like than gummy bear. It’s like a sturdy jello jiggler.

The mosquito inside is just an edible image.

Most people could probably share one of these, but we were content to eat the whole thing by ourselves.
