Universal Orlando Resort has a new collection of Hello Kitty Loungefly bags celebrating the character’s 50th anniversary of her creation in 1974.
The collection is available at the Hello Kitty shop in Universal Studios Florida. We found the mini backpack in the Universal Studios Store in CityWalk.
Hello Kitty Loungefly Backpack – $50
This fabric backpack is blue with an all-over pattern. The pattern includes images of the iconic character with a balloon, her red bow, a goldfish in a bowl, umbrellas, phones, pencils, clouds, bees, hearts, and more. “Hello Kitty 50th Anniversary” is incorporated into the pattern.
It has a yellow front zipper with a gold pull. A red silicone patch features the logos for Sanrio and Loungefly.
The backpack’s straps are red and yellow.
The merchandise includes a tag featuring a “Hello Kitty 50” logo, with the “0” serving as an innertube for the character.
Loungefly Wallet – $55
The wallet is made of pleather. One side features the cat character with a red balloon. She sits on a green field with flowers in front of a rainbow and blue sky.
She is made of a fuzzy chenille with embroidered details. Her balloon and bow are shiny plastic.
On the other side, the character is pictured next to a pond with a duck. A rainbow arcs behind a metal Sanrio and Loungefly plaque.
The interior lining is black. It’s patterned with “Hello Kitty 50th Anniversary,” a red bow, and hearts. The zipper pouch is blue with red and yellow card slots.
The red ID slot has a transparent plastic window with a bow-shaped cutout.
Loungefly Belt Bag – $60
The belt bag is white, just like the character. Her facial features are embroidered on the front, below her pointed ears and red bow. The zipper is surrounded by yellow fabric and shiny blue pleather.
The strap is blue with red on the ends. It has black plastic hardware.
The Sanrio and Loungefly plaque is on the back above “Hello Kitty.” The letters are red with white dots around the edges. Various toys are pictured around the letters. Hello Kitty sits at the beginning of her name with a teddy bear.
Loungefly Mini Backpack – $85
This backpack is made of shiny red pleather debossed with an all-over pattern of a bow. The front pocket is shaped like a coin purse with golden pleather detailing around the top. On the front of the pocket is an image of Hello Kitty riding a bike with flowers around her. It’s set against a translucent background. The interior of the pocket shows a green field, blue sky, and buildings.
A Sanrio and Loungefly plaque is above the small pocket. The zippers are lined with yellow fabric.
The front pocket’s zipper pull has a silicone red apple charm. There are slip pockets on the sides lined with blue pleather.
Blue pleather strips continue around the zippers. The straps and handle are also blue.
The back has no debossing but Hello Kitty is pictured in a yellow plane. Clouds are above her and a town is below. Her name is printed in white bubble lettering.
The straps have golden pleather detailing and hardware.
