While Universal Studios Japan remains closed due to the third State of Emergency in Osaka Prefecture and other areas, the park has not forgotten the healthcare workers in Osaka and the rest of Japan, working tirelessly as the UK variant of COVID-19 fills hospitals to capacity in the Kansai area. In tribute, the park released a special video today featuring violinists from the park’s East Meets West Quartet playing in front of the park’s Universal Globe, lit in blue as tribute.

Universal Studios Japan is set to remain closed through at least May 11th. Although with case numbers still on the rise and hospitals at capacity, an extension of the State of Emergency and thus the park’s closure seems inevitable.
