PHOTO REPORT: EPCOT 6/10/21 (New Pavement Revealed At Entrance, Physical Distancing Removed From Mexico Pavilion, New Stitch Pandora Charms, and More)
Hello World Travelers, and welcome to another hot and sunny day here at EPCOT! We had a quiet day, but we still found a few things to show you. Let’s get started!
Before we had even fully entered the park, we could see that the planters which had surrounded some pavement work just in front of Spaceship Earth had been removed, revealing fresh concrete. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
The Points of Light are being filled in across the bottom of Spaceship Earth, and the patch underneath is starting to connect with the rest of the network of lights that cover the globe.
With “rope drop” returned to EPCOT, guests fill in all the available space underneath Spaceship Earth leading back to Guest Relations in the morning waiting to proceed to the rest of the park. It took about 10 minutes for this area to fill with people.
Visible progress has been made quickly on the Moana-inspired “Journey of Water” construction area. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
Noticeable progress has also been made in the breezeway section of Innoventions East, with the ceiling having been installed.
In World Showcase, the Festival Market booth near the Mexico Pavilion has reopened as the Precious Moments doll retail location.
Behind the planter wall in the Morocco Pavilion, wooden framework has been laid out around the fountain, and concrete has begun to be poured into the frame.
With the Precious Moments dolls moved to the Festival Market location at the front of World Showcase, their original Festival Market location in the Germany Pavilion has been removed. The seemingly-permanent pavilion is no longer in place next to the stage here.
While the physical distancing markers were removed from the outdoor section of the queue for the Mexico Pavilion early on, today we found the markers removed from the indoor section of the queue as well. The barriers for the queue have also been rearranged to fit more switch backs into the area, subsequently narrowing the path that guests walk through this area. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
We found two new Pandora Jewelry charms featuring Stitch, our favorite of which was this one also featuring Cinderella Castle. For more pictures and information on both charms, check out our article here.
We had a wonderful time at EPCOT, and we hope you enjoyed coming along with us. Have a magical day!
