Development of TRON Lightcycle / Run at Magic Kingdom is speeding up now that interior construction has resumed. Crew members continue to install lights on the coaster’s exterior canopy, and scaffolding has been erected against the show building.

After a long weekend for Memorial Day, crew members returned to the construction site to continue work. Several were in cherry-picker vehicles to install lights. Much of the construction site is visible from the PeopleMover.

The coaster will launch from below, before zipping through the canopy and back into the show building.

The building was sealed off last year when construction halted.

The presence of this scaffolding may mean the space around the track will be opened back up soon. It’s just a theory, but the placement of the scaffolding makes sense.

In the above photos, you can see where guests and the trains leave and enter the building, all 4 passageways sealed off when interior construction was halted.

Above the coaster’s launch, two curved pieces frame a doorway. This will eventually be a canopy over the queue and entrance to the show building.
