Earlier this week, the construction around the Polynesian hit an important milestone with the porte-cochère roof installed near the monorail station and Grand Ceremonial House. We stopped by this afternoon to check on progress as the resort is set to reopen in July.
Eaves have been added to the sides of the porte-cochère, adding a new element to the design.
Another set of white structures has been added to the outer section. We predict these are for a set of emergency stairs.
A new white railing has been added to the monorail walkway bridge. A few pieces of scaffolding appear to be removed as well.
Construction behind the Great Ceremonial House appears to be at the same point as earlier this week.
Overall, work seems to be moving along swiftly as we get closer to July. We can’t wait to finally see the finished products (and also eat at ‘Ohana).
