We have been exhaustively covering the changes at the Morocco Pavilion since refurbishments started. Recently we reported new signage around the pavilion. Today we noticed even more aesthetic modifications as Disney updates the pavilion’s look with new lamps.
Inside the construction zone new lamps adorn the posts.
The new lamps peek over the hedge giving us a more detailed view.
A closer look reveals a light gold, thin metal webbing over a frosted glass lantern.
The old lanterns outside the construction zone look different from the new ones. They are a bit larger and have a darker gray, metal webbing.
A side-by-side comparison of the old and new lamps illustrates the color differences between the two.
The metal coverings on the new lamps feature a different criss-cross pattern and a thinner metal than the older ones.
This leaves us wondering if the rest of the lamps in the pavilion will also change to match the new style. As always, we’ll keep you updated!

Cutting corners where ever they can… why’d they even bother replacing??
Odd isn’t it?
These aren’t too out of place but they seem to lack any kind of weathering or patina – I hope gold-ish bulbs will be used because the original glass gave a wonderful glow… I don’t understand the replacement either.
