The roof of the new porte-cochère at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort has been installed after being constructed in front of the Monorail station.
The roof is not completed, although most of the corrugated panels have now been covered in plywood.
The roof was lifted into place on top of two rows of columns.
A lift was next to the roof, but we didn’t see crew members working on it this afternoon.
The columns and roof supports have all been painted a reddish brown.
Meanwhile, new steel structures have gone up on the other side of the Monorail station.
There are two column-like structures extending from the ground to the station’s roof.
There is scaffolding in front and inside of the station as work on the roof continues.
There is also ongoing construction directly behind the Great Ceremonial House.
We did see some crew members gathered around a trench at this site.

Please keep publishing pictures of the polynesian refurbishment. I would like to see a room picture with a king sized bed. I guess I will have to wait until someone checks into one of those rooms and does a youtube video.
