PHOTOS, VIDEO: Jack the Clown Returning With His Own Themed House for Halloween Horror Nights 30 at Universal Orlando Resort

Jack is back! Halloween Horror Nights fans received a spooky surprise today as the news of Jack the Clown’s return was revealed in an announcement from Universal Orlando Resort.

The trailer shows old footage of Jack on multiple TV screens as the narrator announces that “he’s everywhere: in a haunted house, in the dark where you least expect…”, implicating that Jack will be the featured Icon of this year’s event.

The trailer closes out as Jack laughs malevolently. The return of Jack (and potentially other past event Icons) was foreshadowed with the release of the 30th anniversary merchandise last year.

To mark the return of the event’s most popular character, a limited release t-shirt is now on sale at the Universal Orlando Resort online shop, which retails for $28.00.

Universal also posted a retrospective on the character which details his history as an icon of Halloween Horror Nights. It also revealed that this year’s event will show off Jack in all three forms we’ve seen over the years, including a clown (first seen in 2000), the ringmaster of the Carnival of Carnage (from 2007), and a rock star leader of Jack’s Maniacs (from 2015) in a “comic book annual”-style celebration of the icon.
