Pride month is in full swing, and to celebrate, Disney+ is hosting a virtual concert titledThis Is Me: Pride Celebration Spectacular which will be hosted by the popular drag performer Nina West. West will be joined with appearances by Hayley Kiyoko, Todrick Hall, and the star of the Muppets, Kermit the Frog.

West and Hall are both life-long Disney fans and collaborators. Hall notably worked with Disneyland Resort last year to create the new soundtrack to the “Magic Happens” parade. Kiyoko has starred in the Disney Channel film Lemonade Mouth.
This concert will feature performances of popular Disney songs reinterpreted through a LGBTQ+ lens, and will air on the Disney+ Facebook and YouTube pages on Sunday, June 27th at 8PM EST. Performances will also include Alex Newell, DCappella, Frankie A. Rodriguez and Joe Serafini, Jackie Cox, Jesse James Keitel and Michael James Scott.

The event aims to bring awareness to GLSEN, a non-profit organization that works to ensure that LGBTQ+ students are able to learn and grow in a safe school environment, free from bullying and harassment.
Ann Marie Pace, director of Growing Fangs on Disney’s Launchpad, returns to direct this Pride celebration.
