Select Walt Disney World Cast Members in Outdoor Roles Now Allowed to Remove Masks

Disney is changing their mask protocol to allow select Cast Members to remove their masks outdoors in roles that allow them to remain six feet away from others.

The Cast Members who are eligible for the new policy will be required to put on a mask anytime they go indoors or are unable to maintain the six-foot distance.

Some roles that the new policy now applies to are horticulture, pest management, lifeguards on a stand, parking attendants, and parade float drives.

Guests are allowed to remove their masks outdoors, but until now, no Cast Members were allowed to go without a face covering.

  1. Good! I always felt for the poor cast member ALL alone in the parking lot standing in the blistering sun with their mask on 😂

  2. This is the very least they can do for the CMs who have bore the brunt of the ridiculous protocols for almost the past year.
