UPDATE: No Special Fireworks for Fourth of July, Disney After Hours Boo Bash at Walt Disney World

Earlier today, we reported that fireworks are finally returning to Walt Disney World on July 1st, marking a big milestone in the slow return to normal operations. However, while Disney is reintroducing some nighttime spectaculars, the “special” holiday fireworks are reportedly on hold for the time being.

Neither Happily Ever After at Magic Kingdom nor EPCOT Forever at EPCOT will see a Fourth of July tag. Disney’s Celebrate America spectacular will not return this year, either.

Guests attending the new Disney After Hours Boo Bash at the Magic Kingdom should note that at this time, Happily Ever After is the only fireworks show expected to run, which will run during regular park hours. Boo Bash guests are allowed to enter the Magic Kingdom as early as 7pm. Showtimes are not available for event dates yet, so stay tuned for more information.

  1. For a family of four I just paid 677 dollars. If they can they should have some freaking Fire works and meet and greets! Come on Disney show some freaking magic would you.

  2. Why have special fireworks when you’re only charging 33% more and cutting park time in half for the Halloween party?

  3. What a scam! If Happily Ever After is the only fireworks show expected to run at the “boo bash” then what is the benefit of this ticket – some melted candy and decorations on Main Street???

I really hope Disney introduces a special Halloween fireworks show AND parade, as that is is what Guests are paying for. If they don’t then it is a huge slap in the face.

  4. Why am I not surprised while Disney continues to raise prices and make more and more cuts I’ll be going to SeaWorld which will be doing 4th of July shame on Disney

  5. So for 2 years in a row, Disney decided that America’s founding isn’t worth celebrating. My green American dollars will happily be spent elsewhere.

  6. Perfectly fitting for Disney actually. The Mouse House is ran by people who side with the people who hate America.

  7. Sad news…Disney World of all places not celebrating the birthday of the country in which they foundef.
