Magic Kingdom Closing Early With No Fireworks on Days in August and September

Walt Disney World has just released theme park hours up until October 9. Along with the new set of hours for the later fall weeks, the resort has also altered hours for Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and EPCOT.

While the Magic Kingdom will be opening earlier at 8:00 AM on dates in August, it will unfortunately be closing earlier at 6:00 PM on August 14.

On September 11, the park will also be closing early at 7:00 PM instead of 8:30 PM or 9 PM like other days that month.

Due to these earlier closings, Happily Ever After will not be showing on these evenings for guests to enjoy. Guests will have to hurry to catch the final showings of Happily Ever After other days before its permanent end on September 29.

  1. How freaking stupid is Disney. I can’t believe they are doing this. Man I have such a love/ hate thing with them. STUPID BUSINESS DECISION

  2. Not sure why they are making big deal about this this what they always do at the end of the summer. We usually go to Disneyland end of September and depending on when we get there we may see the fireworks and we may not. They have a month break and then start back up once the Christmas season kicks in.

  3. Hi! Does anyone know if on the nights of boo bash will the fireworks still happen early? I’m visiting the park, but I’m not going to boo bash. Thanks!

  4. Likey special events. Unless you had a visit scheduled it is no big deal. Happens this time of year.

  5. This is news?? They’ve done so many dumb thing the past 5 years we should expect it. Disney is all about money

  6. What about in February ? Or should I not get tickets and waist more money. We went Monday to Hollywood studios and there’s no characters walking around the beauty and the beast was shut down The Little mermaid was shut down the cars was shut down. But the prices don’t go down.

  7. Wow I specifically reserved dinner at the contemporary that evening to catch those fireworks what a bummer

  8. This is the second biggest dumb decision Disney has ever done!!! The first dumb idea is planning on changing Splash Mountain!!! Please save Splash Mountain!!!
