Good morning and welcome to a rainy day at EPCOT! Come along as we travel the World Showcase and take a look at what lies ahead in Future World. Let’s jump in!
Look around as construction continues all throughout Future World. We continue to see roof paneling being added to Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.
Say goodbye to an adorable Instagram opportunity, as the butterfly wings photo spots have been removed from Future World construction walls. Pictured above are “before” and “after” photos of what the walls originally looked like vs now.
Over at the Imagination! Pavilion, we found that the upside down waterfall didn’t seem to be shooting blasts of water upwards today. At the top, the entire base of the waterfall had been drained.
Most of the Jumping Fountains in the same area were also not operational this morning. Only one small section of them seemed to actually be jumping.
We found that the recently reopened Liquid Layer was not offering a cool spot for kids to play around in today. This could possibly have been in preparation for the tropical storm.
Sunshine Griddle was also unexpectedly closed this morning, which again could have been a side effect of the weather. As you can see, the registers have all been sealed and other surfaces have been covered for extra protection.
As we venture into the World Showcase, we continue to see festival booths prep for the upcoming 2021 Taste of EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival.
We spotted our favorite little chefs, Remy and Emile, also getting ready at merchandise booths for the festival!
As EPCOT readies themselves for the premiere of Harmonious, we continue to see various types of testing. Today we saw an all-new type of water test, which took place on the four barges that showcase large screens.
Princess Jasmine told us about all of her adventures with Rajah and Abu at her recently debuted meet & greet spot inside of Morocco.
That brings us to the end of our day! Thanks for joining us as we traveled through EPCOT. What are you most excited to see at the 2021 Taste of EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival? Let us know in the comments below! We’ll “see ya real soon!”
