Hello from an overcast and rainy day here at the Magic Kingdom! We had a brief moment of sunshine in the morning long enough to get a few things in before the rain started, during which time we found some things to show you. Let’s get started!
Red, white, and blue patriotic bunting has started going up around the Main Street, USA area of the Magic Kingdom in preparation for Independence Day.
So far only the buildings in Town Square have been decorated, but we expect the rest of the bunting to arrive soon.
The four missing eagles on Prince Charming Regal Carrousel have returned newly refurbished, shining bright with their fresh gold leaf.
We found a new patch of pavement blocked off from foot traffic in front of Cool Ship in Tomorrowland.
The large crane used to build the illuminated canopy of TRON Lightcycle / Run is being disassembled by a different type of equally large crane. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
The load platform area for Barnstormer recently got a fresh coat of paint, and is looking quite bright and shiny with it’s refreshed colors.
Speaking of paint, work continues on the repainting of the facade of Be Our Guest Restaurant. It looks like shading was added recently.
Continuing the painting updates, the Splash Mountain Restrooms have had more blue paint applied, with the walls of the Restroom now blue to match the columns.
Just across the bridge in front of Splash Mountain, we found more pavement work underway with a fresh patch of concrete and more scoring for future concrete removal.
Casey’s Corner reopened today, with classic park fare on the menu and the traditional opening ceremony of a “first pitch” and the singing of “Take Me Out To The Ball Game”. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
While getting our hot dog fix from Casey’s Corner, we noticed that the physical distancing verbiage has been removed from the “We’re Preparing Your Order” mobile order page. It has been replaced with “Find a place to relax…”
We found four new pet shirts today from the Disney Tails line.
All four of these shirts come in a range of sizes and are available at The Emporium for $24.99 each.
While at The Emporium we found these three new onesies, perfect for future Walt Disney World fans. These onesies retail for $19.99 each.
