Welcome to another exciting day here at the Universal Orlando Resort. It’s going to be a busy day, so let’s get started and check out Universal Studios Florida first.
The sky is blue this morning, and it looks like the parks are going to be crowded. When we arrived at the entrance of Universal Studios Florida, we noticed two large metal poles were being set up outside.
Many of the attractions had long waits this morning. Revenge of the Mummy had an 85-minute wait.
The Prop Shop has some interesting items today, including these Universal Studios Monsters slammers for POGS.
The park is starting to get ready for Halloween Horror Nights. In addition to Universal having more auditions, there have been signs of a show coming to the Fear Factor Live theater during HHN. Today, the Fear Factor Live sign has been covered up. The excitement is building!
Over by the “Welcome to Scarey” facade, we could see a ladder set up. It sounded like people were working in the area, too.
The Boss Baby meet and greet is gone now, but the photo op is still available in the DreamWorks Destination courtyard.
Another Florida afternoon. Storm clouds rolled in quickly, followed by the loud sounds of thunder.
The calm before the storm.
Outdoor rides closed due to the approaching weather, but the indoor rides still had relatively low wait times.
With the afternoon rainstorms approaching and outdoor rides closed, many people were looking to grab lunch and wait things out.
It started to rain while we were inside the Five and Dime. It gets a little crowded when the Bourne Stuntacular show exits the theater, and guests are seeking shelter from the rain.
Inside the Tribute Store, we found some amazing new lithographs of the Jurassic World posters from the VelociCoaster locker area. We had to have them all! Check out our post here with all 6 prints!
The crowds thinned out a lot after the rain, thankfully. Let’s make our way over to Islands of Adventure next.
The Islands of Adventure Trading Company has not had air in the store for several days, and it’s been incredibly hot inside. Now they have added some fans today to help cool things down.
No Green Eggs and Ham today.
Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey had a 110-minute wait this afternoon. It’s always very busy when the outdoor attractions are closed!
Islands of Adventure seems to be a little busier than Universal Studios was this morning, but crowds still haven’t been too bad.
Thanks for joining us today around the Universal Orlando Resort today. We’ll be back again real soon, so make sure you stay tuned to Universal Parks News Today for all the latest updates.
