The entrance sign to meet Ariel in her grotto at the Magic Kingdom has been mysteriously removed.

Now, the area is even more empty. While the main entrance sign has been removed, the Stand-by and Fastpass+ entrance displays still remain.

A rusted metal bar also still remains that held the sign in place.

It’s possible this has been removed to receive a fresh update, similar to the Jungle Cruise entrance sign we spotted recently.

Due to traditional character meet and greets still being suspended around the parks, it’s also possible this has been removed in an effort to not confuse guests about the possibility of spending an intimate moment with the mermaid herself.

  1. I heard the meet and greets are going to a virtual platform where you can scan a QR code and “interact” with the characters in a similar manner to a Zoom call. Participants will have a time limit to stay on the experience before being bumped off for new “callers”.
