PHOTOS: Crane Completely Disassembled at TRON Lightcycle Run in Magic Kingdom

Yesterday, we watched as the crane at the TRON Lightcycle / Run construction site in Magic Kingdom began to be disassembled. Today, the crane has been completely taken apart, indicating it is no longer needed for construction.

The crane had sat at the site for years now and was used to lift sections of the canopy framework into place.

It was recently used to install new paneling around the track’s entrance to the show building.

We’ve also been keeping our eye on the blue netting that is now wrapped around much of the canopy framework.

Several crew members were working within the framework today, installing netting or lights.

On the ground, there are piles of construction materials.

The point where the track enters the building is now shaped like a semi-oval.

Interior construction of the attraction resumed in May and the show building was reopened soon after that.

From the PeopleMover, we can see even more of the blue netting.

The final canopy will be opaque.
