PHOTOS, VIDEO: EPCOT Monorail Line Returns to Service at Walt Disney World

After a year without it, the Monorail line connecting EPCOT and the Transportation and Ticket Center has finally returned to service.

The Monorail line operates from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM.

The archway at the Transportation and Ticket Center was repainted a few months ago as part of a reimagining for Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary.

We were among the first guests on Monorail Blue this morning.

Cast Members let us board ahead of 10:00 AM so we could sit in the air conditioning until the Monorail took off.

At 10:00 AM, the Monorail took off.

  1. Never understood why they didn’t make more monorail lines as Walt Disney World evolved over the years. Especially since they accommodate so many people at one time and are very handicap friendly. The busses handle far fewer people and there’s paying a lot more employees, gas, maintenance, plus much more liability since the busses share the road with cars so accidents are a lot more likely. You would’ve thought the monorail service would’ve expanded to Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Downtown Disney, etc.
