Among the many refurbishments and reimaginings taking place at Walt Disney World ahead of its 50th anniversary is the repainting of the Transportation and Ticket Center. Poster kiosks, water fountains, and more have been receiving the royal blue and gold treatment, which matches Cinderella Castle’s new look, as well as the updated Walt Disney World entrances.

Since yesterday, the archway entrance for the EPCOT Monorail has been repainted.

The legs of the archway are dark blue on the bottom. The rest of the archway is light blue.

“Monorail” is in white against the blue. The top section, which reads “EPCOT” is gold.

The lettering of “EPCOT” is a little worse for wear. It’s possible the engraved letters will be repainted gold or a different color later.

The EPCOT Monorail is not currently running, but hopefully it will be by the time “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” begins on October 1, 2021.

  1. Would it be too much to hope for that the “Epcot” sign be replaced with “EPCOT” in the proper EPCOT font?
