On our recent visit to Disneyland Resort, we stayed in a premium pool view room at Disneyland Hotel. The room is an example of what makes the hotel a classic. Join us as we tour this amazing room.
The elevator lobby features Mary Blair-style art on the floor.
Numerous Disneyland attractions and icons are included in the design.
The hallway carpet features more Blair artwork, this time a clear nod to “it’s a small world.”
A closet is located immediately inside the room’s entrance.
In addition to hangers, the closet has an iron and ironing board.
A luggage stand and electronic safe are also found in the closet.
An extra pillow and blanket are stored on the shelf.
The room carpeting features firework bursts, stars, and Hidden Mickeys. The carpet is new and “pops” a bit more than the old. It’s a charming touch.
The coffee station is located just next to the closet.
The sconces have stars like the carpet. The star motif is used throughout the room.
A Keurig machine and assorted coffees are provided, as well as cups.
The bathroom features two things we love: colorful walls and art in the toilet room.
The combination bathtub and shower features a standard shower head. Soap trays and a clothesline are also mounted inside the shower surround.
The tile artwork is a nice touch. It includes Hidden Mickeys.
Hooks on the back of the bathroom door allow guests to hang robes or other items.
A single vanity features a large countertop and shelf. It is finished in striking black, which adds a nice contrast. A large shelf below provides additional storage.
The mirror is flanked on both sides by amazing sconces.
Mickey’s gloved hand holds the sconce. Hidden Mickeys appear on the shade when the light is on.
A makeup mirror is to the left of the sink.
A closer look at the faucet handles reveals Mickey’s head.
An assortment of H2O+ amenities is provided.
The blue wallpaper continues in the toilet room.
A matted photo of Mad Tea Party lamps hangs in the toilet room.
A full-length mirror is mounted on the outside of the bathroom door.
The room has two queen beds, a desk, dresser, and chair.
A photo of Walt Disney walking through Sleeping Beauty Castle is a nice piece of the resort’s history.
The refreshed rooms have elevated beds. This allows bags to be stored below. Similar beds were added to the new Moana rooms at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.
The curtains borrow colors from the carpet.
More stars are found on the curtains.
The bedding has also been updated. At first glance, it appears rather plain.
In addition to blue stitching on the throw pillows, a subtle pattern is present.
Mickey heads and stars appear throughout the bedding. It is a subtle, but thoughtful, touch.
Each bed has a padded headboard and reading lights.
Impressive Sleeping Beauty Castle artwork spans the entire length of the wall above the headboards.
A switch on the nightstand lamp turns on lights hidden in the artwork. Fireworks and stars appear. “A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes” plays when the lights are on.
A single nightstand is placed between the beds.
In addition to the aforementioned lamp, the nightstand also has an alarm clock and telephone.
The side opposite the beds has a writing desk. We find another mirror above the desk, a desk lamp, and a floor lamp. The desk has a small drawer.
The lamp has a Mickey Mouse design element.
The mirror is whimsical.
In a first for a Disney hotel room, we found two USB-C ports on the desk. USB-A ports and three grounded outlets are also provided.
The dresser is next to the desk. It has three large drawers. A small refrigerator is hidden behind the door on the right.
An ice bucket and plastic cups are provided.
A large Samsung television is mounted above the dresser.
A gold armchair and large floor lamp provide a comfortable spot to read or relax.
The view from the room is spectacular. The entire pool area, including the monorail slide with Disneyland sign, is visible.
