REVIEW: New “Backside of Water Float” Celebrates Jungle Cruise at Sunshine Tree Terrace

In honor of the release of the Jungle Cruise movie today on Disney+ and in theaters, Sunshine Tree Terrace at the Magic Kingdom has a new float inspired by the film and ride.

Back Side of Water — $6.29

The Back Side of Water float consists of cotton candy and vanilla soft serve, Sprite and a blue sour belt.

The cotton candy soft serve (which we’ve had before at Pineapple Lanai where it was pink) has a gentler flavor than we remember. It’s not as sweet as real cotton candy but has that strange taste. It’s surprisingly pleasing. Paired with the vanilla it makes a really creamy, gentle sweet flavor.

When combined with the Sprite, it has a kind of Creamsicle flavor without a heavy fruit flavor.

The sour gummy belt was the most flavorful part, but it paired surprisingly well with everything else and gave a nice pop of flavor while being toned down a bit by the Creamsicle vibe.

This was a good float, but not terribly exciting. The whole thing hinges on liking the cotton candy soft serve, which is admittedly a little strange for some. But if you enjoy it like we do, it hits the spot on a warm summer afternoon. Overall, this was a really fun and tasty treat that we would get again.
