Universal Studios Japan has a habit of promoting popular film, anime, and game franchises through their “XR” virtual reality overlays, most recently with Attack on Titan and Doraemon. The next XR ride focuses on the extremely popular franchise Demon Slayer, which broke box office records last year in Japan amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Starting September 17th, Space Fantasy: The Ride will be overlaid with a new XR attraction themed to Demon Slayer!
Demon Slayer XR Ride
From September 17th, 2021 through February 13th, 2022, Guests visiting Universal Studios Japan can experience the Demon Slayer XR Ride, which will transport Guests into a deadly battle between series protagonist Tanjiro Kamado, Kyojuro, Mugen Train antagonist Enmu, and series antagonist Akaza. on a journey aboard the Mugen Train through the Enmu’s nightmare. With the fusion of 360-degree VR video and gravity, the level of realism will be unparalleled!
Demon Slayer x Hollywood Dream: The Ride
A special story track will be available aboard both Hollywood Dream: The Ride and Backdrop featuring characters from the Demon Slayer anime and film.
